first_imgRivera was charged with aggravated assault, unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a weapon for unlawful purpose, and bail jumping.Officers Brandon Fitzgibbons and Ryan Houghton were dispatched to the area of 232 Harrison St. on the report of a fight. The officers arrived and separated two men that were engaged in an altercation.After the officers investigated further it was determined that the Rivera had allegedly struck the victim with an umbrella.Apparently, the pair had had an argument. According to the release from the Police Department, Rivera allegedly would not allow the victim to enter the building.The victim suffered an abrasion over the right eye but sustained no serious injuries.According to the release, “both parties appeared to be intoxicated.”Rivera was transported to Hoboken University Medical Center for treatment before being transported to the Hudson County Correctional Facility.
