Katie Taylor’s professional career gets off to the perfect start in London CONOR MCGREGOR IS no longer a two-division UFC world champion.The UFC announced during the UFC Melbourne broadcast that McGregor has been stripped of his featherweight belt.McGregor had yet to defend the belt he won after beating Jose Aldo inside 13 seconds in the title fight last December.Jose Aldo, winner of the interim title at UFC 200 in July with a win over Frankie Edgar, is now the undisputed champion in the 145-pound division.What probably sped up the process was the scrapping of the UFC 206 headline fight between Daniel Cormier and Anthony Johnson. Cormier sustained an injury, forcing him to withdraw from the bout.A new main event was needed for the Toronto card, where Anthony Pettis and Max Holloway will now fight for the interim featherweight belt on December 10.The UFC says McGregor gave up the belt voluntarily, although Ariel Helwani reports otherwise.
